Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 3, 2026 • Version 2.4

1. Zero-Friction Customer Privacy Mandate

WaitLink is built on a strict privacy-first principle: walk-in customers checking into a line are never required to register accounts, enter passwords, or provide sensitive personal data. Customer check-in names or initials are used solely for identifying line position during active visits.

2. Information We Collect & Why Phone Numbers Are Collected

For Business Owners: When you set up a shop account, we store your email address, business name, custom URL slug, shop address/hours, optional logo image, and selected subscription tier.

For Walk-in Customers: We temporarily store transient check-in names (e.g. "Marcus S.") and optional mobile cell phone numbers if voluntarily provided. Why we collect phone numbers: Customer phone numbers are collected strictly and solely to deliver operational, real-time SMS text notifications when your turn at a business chair or table is ready. Daily visit history logs can be reset by the shop owner at any time.

📱 3. SMS Text Notification Privacy & Mobile Data Disclaimer

WaitLink integrates with carrier-authorized SMS gateways (Twilio) to send operational line position text messages. We strictly enforce CTIA and TCPA privacy standards:

3. Stripe Payment Security

All subscription transactions for Pro Business ($15/mo) and Enterprise ($49/mo) plans are handled securely by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 Compliant). WaitLink servers never store or process raw credit card numbers or billing CVC codes.

4. Data Encryption & Storage

All data transmitted between web browsers, front desk tablets, and Google Cloud Infrastructure is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and encrypted at rest with AES-256 industry encryption standards.

5. LocalStorage & Cookies

WaitLink uses HTML5 LocalStorage to maintain active shop preferences, temporary customer ticket timers, and sound notification settings locally on your device. We do not sell user data to third-party ad networks.

6. Data Protection Officer Contact

If you have questions about your business data, privacy rights, or data deletion requests, contact our Data Protection Officer directly at senthil930@gmail.com.
